Peter Law

The Daisy Garland
A family-run national children’s charity providing active support for children with drug-resistant epilepsy and their parents/carers. The charity was set up in memory of our daughter Daisy who tragically died at 6 years of age from SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy patients). We provide NHS hospitals with ketogenic dietitians - a medically recognised and accepted way of treating drug resistant epilepsy. This diet is not widely available on the NHS due to lack of funding. We also provide grants for night-time breathing monitors to children with drug-resistant epilepsy.

Peter Law's 170mile Ride The North Challenge

Peter Law

My page:

Three years ago I did Ride The North and said never again. But in an effort to regain some fitness (I've given up trying to lose weight) I'm doing it one last time.

The ride is 170 miles from Castle Fraser to Elgin on the first day, 80 miles. Then returning the second day 90miles. I am only one of a over 800 riders, most doing it for charity. See their web site

In addition to this personal adventure, I would like to raise some money for a charity i have long supported 'The Daisy Garland' run by firends of mine who lost their Daughter Daisy to Epilepsy. They do great work, raising funds for hospital based Ketogenic dieticians including one in Glasgow. They also provide personal support and advice for families with children suffering from Epilepsy. See the web site attached for more details.Even if you don't donate, but know of someone whos child has epilepsy issues, please contact them.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

I hope you can help.
