Charities

Mind
Mind has been speaking out for better mental health for 60 years and is the leading mental health charity in England and Wales. At Mind, we work for a better life for everyone with experience of mental or emotional distress.
St Teresa's Hospice
Our facilities are available free to all terminally ill patients, regardless of the nature of the disease. We are non-denominational and respect the different cultures of all minorities. We look at the whole person and take into account the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of the dying patient and his or her family. We offer high-quality medical, nursing and social support to the patient and offer respite and support for carers. We work closely with other professionals in the community.

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

I am running the Virgin London Marathon on 25th April 2010 – definitely my final marathon!

Hilary has insisted that I raise as much as I can for charity otherwise she will make me wash all my own sweaty kit for ever more.

If you doubt that I am capable of doing my own washing and feel inclined to support me for the last time, then please donate to St Teresa’s Hospice in Darlington and to MIND, the national charity helping people with mental health problems.
