The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Charity
The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) is among the top three centres in the world for the treatment of many complex orthopaedic conditions, including acute spinal injuries, bone cancer, and congenital limb deformities. As a national and international centre of excellence, we treat over 120,000 patients annually, from all over the world. More than 30% of the hospital’s work is for children, who undergo surgical procedures ranging from spinal correction to the lifesaving removal of cancerous tumours. The RNOH Charity is a vital partner in the way the RNOH delivers care. Since its inception in 1997 it has received and administered millions of pounds’ worth of donations, which have funded improvements to hospital facilities, supported pioneering research, and assisted in numerous other essential projects. While the RNOH Charity still works to enhance patient care, its primary focus until 2018 is to raise £15 million towards the RNOH’s Redevelopment Appeal to fund vital additional facilities and specialist equipment for the new hospital. Please visit our website for more information about the Appeal.

RNOH/Crumlin Hospital Cycle: London to Dublin

London Irish Ward Appeal

My page:

The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust (RNOH) is a world leading centre for the treatment of many complex orthopaedic conditions. People of all ages and backgrounds have been treated there; from young children with bone cancer, to adults with spinal cord injuries. We are excited to be able to help the RNOH deliver this vital care to more people than ever before, through the building of a new state-of-the-art 32-bed acute ward.

We are cycling from the RNOH Hospital in Stanmore, North London to Our Ladies Children's Hospital (OLCH) in Crumlin, Dublin. OLCH Crumlin is Ireland's largest paediatric hospital. The Hospital and adjoining National children's Research centre deliver world class research, treatment and care to some of Ireland's sickest children. Children and parents from all over Ireland are supported through additional funds raised by CMRF Crumlin, whose belief is that every sick child deserves every chance.

Our aim is to raise £50,000, to be shared equally between these worthy charities.

The Cycle will take 3 days and we will cover over 300 miles of hilly English and Irish countryside so please give whatever you can to help us achieve our goal and help the RNOH and Crumlin Children's Hospital deliver more fantastic care to those who need it.

Our itinerary is as follows:

3rd May: RNOH Hospital, Stanmore to Redditch

4th May: Redditch to Betws-y-Coed

5th May: Betws-y-Coed to Holyhead & Dublin Port to Our Lady's Children's Hospital, Crumlin

6th May: Gala Ball - Raddison Blu, St. Helens, Dublin
