LUPUS UK is the only National Registered Charity supporting people with Lupus. Lupus is an incurable disease of the immune system, a condition whereby the body's defence mechanisim begins to attack itself causing imflammation and damage in the joints, muscles and other organs.

Riverside Runners Take On London 1/2 Marathon
We have decided to run our first half marathon in a decade! We are currently training and fundraising for the London 2012 Nike Run to the Beat, which we are running in support of Lupus UK on 28 October 2012. We specifically picked this charity because Shannon has Lupus and has a goal to increase awareness of this disease, which is a lot more common than you might expect. We appreciate any support you can give us. Heckling (or cheering) is also welcome.
Here's the fine print from Virgin Money Giving: Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
