London Marathon 2010

Fundraiser:
Robert Jenkins

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/RobertAlunJenkins

It's that time of the year again and I have yet again agreed to run the London Marathon for RAFT (http://www.raft.ac.uk/).  This will be the 14th time I've run for them and my dad will also be running for them for his 16th time.

Please take a couple of minutes to have a look at their website to see the type of work they do.  When we first ran the marathon for them in 1993 it was because they could get us a place, we then went to some of their open evenings to see their work and thought that if you're going to put your body through that sort of pain it should be for a good cause... and this one is!!!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RAFT will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

When you sponsor me, please put your estimate for my finishing time in the comment box (to the minute and  second to avoid having a draw at the end).  I'll be giving a bottle of Champagne to the person who gets closest.  To give you an idea, last year I finished in 4h 28m but I suffered with a calf injury, I’m hoping (yet again!!) to get under 4 hours and managed 2h59m at the Gloucester 20 mile which puts me about on track, it just depends on how I feel on the day.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.

Rob (a.k.a. Alun)

P.S. For the Champagne, please also put your surname (or a name I can identify you with) as Virgin Money do not provide me  with any info regarding sponsors apart from what is shown below.... thanks

Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
