Sarah Run's For Mind
Hi Everyone!
I know what you're all thinking "not another ruddy fundraising page" well, yeah, you'd be right, but guys and girls, this year I take on The Great North Run half marathon all in aid of Mind.
For those who don't know, Mind are a mental health charity that are here to make sure that anyone with any kind of mental health problem has somewhere and someone to turn to for advice and support. Giving people a real lifeline and supporting them whilst still giving them the respect they deserve and need. This could mean getting impartial advice and information on a mental health diagnosis or finding support from the network of local Minds. All this work starts by offering people somewhere to turn to find help - with over 700 calls a week to their infoline from people who rely on Mind's hard work.
So "WHY" I hear you ask? throughout the years I, myself, have suffered with some low periods and I know first hand how important a little bit of support is, and how far it goes and without that, I am sure that the 'light at the end of the tunnel' doesnt always come through.
Every week over 100 people in the UK take their own lives, your donations can help towards more people getting the help they need in time. It doesn't matter how much you donate, every single penny really does help.
