The Muscle Help Foundation
The Muscle Help Foundation aims to provide amazing experiences in the UK called 'Muscle Dreams' designed for children and young people suffering from the muscle wasting disease Muscular Dystrophy. There are approximately 75,000 young people in the UK suffering from this debilitating disease. Muscular Dystrophy is the single biggest genetic killer of children in our world today. It robs sufferers of their mobility, their independence and finally for those with the most severe type, predominatly children, their lives. The charity's co-founder and CEO is Michael McGrath (aka 'Chief Muscle Warrior'). Michael himself has the disease and today lives his life in a powered wheelchair that he affectionately refers to as his chariot. Michael provides inspiration and hope as well as a unique insight, understanding and empathy towards both the children who receive Muscle Dreams as well as the wider family unit who in turn draw additional strength and joy from the personal interaction and individual engagement by Michael, his own family and the growing army of MHF Friends and Ambassadors. Michael himself has achieved his dream of being the first and only disabled person in the world to have led expeditions to both the North and South Poles. By default, Michael has become the 'DreamMaker' for children afflicted by Muscular Dystrophy. The charity's 'Muscle Warriors' are those generous hearted people who use for example the power of sport to engage, inspire and raise vital funds. Muscle Warriors run across deserts, they do triathlons, they do events called GRIM and Tough Guy, they climb mountains, they bicycle long distances, they run marathons. Essentially they participate in all sorts of fundraising challenges to help raise the money that enables the charity to deliver more incredible and cherished experiences for the real Muscle Warriors, the children whose muscles are broken and wasting away and their families who have to fight and battle on each and every day

Hi, thanks for visiting our page.  We are Patricia, Dave, Kevin, Chris and Sharon from Garden House Solicitors.

None of our team are runners and even though the event is only 5k this will be a real challenge for us.  It is our first sponsored running event and we will be posting photos of our training so you can see how we're doing.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

Many thanks,

Patricia, Dave, Kevin, Chris and Sharon
