Devon Air Ambulance Trust
The Devon Air Ambulance Trust is the Charity which raises the funds to keep Devon's two Air Ambulances airborne. From 2016, our operating costs will rise to around £5.5 million annually. Starting in the autumn, our service will begin operating into the hours of darkness, enabling us to save more lives. We are proud to be independent of Government funding. The operating costs of the service are met by public fundraising and donations. The paramedics are provided by South Western Ambulance Services NHS Foundation Trust, supported in part by the Charity. Flying an average of 1,700 missions a year, the service is an essential part of the community. Because Devon is a remote and rural county, essential medical treatment needs to be administered as quickly as possible. The service isn't only deployed to trauma or accidents, but also to medical emergencies. It's therefore reassuring to know that should you or a loved one be ill or injured one of Devon's Air Ambulances can reach 50% of Devon within 5 minutes and the remainder within 20 minutes. Every single penny counts and we are grateful to everyone who supports the Charity.

My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

My aim is to lose 2.5 stone by the end of April 2011 & get my BMI down from OBESE (all the way through overweight) to normal. This means I need to lose 37 pounds of FAT !!! An extra pound of fat for every year of my life!!

I'm trying to raise £1000 for Devon Air Ambulance in the process.

My first weigh-in was on Wed 1st Dec after one week dieting. I lost 3 lbs.

2nd weigh-in Wed 8th Dec - lost 2lbs

3rd weigh-in Wed 15th Dec - lost 1lb

4th weigh-in Wed 22nd Dec - lost 1lb

5th weigh-in Wed 29th Dec - stayed the same on Christmas week (surprise, surprise!!)

6th weigh-in Wed 5th Jan - stayed the same again :(

7th weigh-in Wed 12th Jan - lost 1lb

8th weigh-in Wed 19th Jan - lost 1lb

Next weigh in is Wed 26th Jan......wish me luck!

AND don't forget to donate some cash, as this spurs me on - even a fiver will help as Devon Air Ambulance need £4 million each year to fly their two helicopters & do that amazing stuff they do EVERY DAY. You never know when you might need their help.

Thank you x
