The Scottish Burned Children's Club provides support to burn survivor children, age 8-18 years, and their families dealing with lifelong scars of burn and scald injuries. The charity is solely funded by fund raising events, sponsorship and donations and is run and organised by volunteers. Unlike any other injury, burns and scalds leave a life long scar, which no matter how small or big act as a reminder to the family as well as the child of the trauma they have been through. The child must also grow up knowing their body image is different, knocking their confidence at a time when normal processes of growing up are stressful enough. With continued support, positive encouragement and the courage and determination that has helped them so far we hope to see each child realise their dreams and goals.

My page:

Thank you for visiting my virgin money giving page. I have decided to enter a charity boxing event with 'Ultimate White Collar Boxing' which takes place in Aberdeen on 11th June 2016.

As many of you already know my son Lewis (in the picture) was involved in a horrific accident in our old house which he was lucky to survive. He recieved terrible scalding that led to hom.being  airlifted to Edinburgh where he had over 24 operations under general anaesthetic, numerous skin gtaft, contracting mrsa and the amputation of a finger. The accident changed all our lives forever. He has recovered well and is an inspiration to everyone who knows him. Since the accident we have recieved amazing support from The Scottish Burned Childrens Club. They have done so much for us, inviting us as a family to a weekend every year where Lewis is able to mix with other burns survovors. As parents we are able to offer and receive support from others who are going through what we have been through. Money is tight and all fundraising is ploughed back into the charity. I cannot put into words how much their support has meant to us.

So please click on the button to sponsor me. I have chosen £300 as my target and have smashed through that and want to raise as much as possible

Please keep donating.

I have chosen to take part in a fight as I have always had an interest in boxing but have never competed. I would also like to show that I have just a fraction of the fight in me that Lewis has, and continues to show. This will also allow be to exorcise some of my own demons from that day.

I am the unfittest that I have ever been, so this will be a challenge!!

Thanks in advance.
