Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) aims to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. BUPA Great Yorkshire 10km Run
Hi everyone.
Thanks for taking the time to visit this page. On the 5th September, Suzi Bowen and John Konderak will be running the BUPA Great Yorkshire Run in memory of Sophie Konderak. Sophie was a member of City of Leicester Swimming Club, and only 16 when she sadly passed away last September doing what she loved during a training session. This run will be done in her memory, and to raise money for the CRY charity (Cardiac Risk in the Young). Cry aim to raise awareness of conditions that can lead to sudden cardiac death and sudden death syndrome, and offer support to those who have suffered a bereavment. The work this charity does gives strength to those who have lost people they love, so please dig deep and donate now.
