Staffordshire Hoard Appeal – Friends of the Potteries Museum & Art Gallery

THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the campaign to save the Staffordshire Hoard, which has captured the hearts, minds and interest of people across the world.

Together we raised the vital £3.3 million, which means that the Staffordshire Hoard will now remain in UK, and in the region of its discovery, for future generations to enjoy.

Now a further £1.7 million is needed to research, conserve and display the hoard. Experts believe that the 1,500 pieces of Anglo-Saxon gold contain many untold secrets about the ‘Dark Ages’. Your continued support will help us to unlock these secrets and ensure people of all ages, can visit and enjoy the hoard in years to come.

Please help us to carry out this vital work, and pledge your support by making a donation today.

Where will your donation go? Your donation will be paid into 'The Friends of the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery', which is a registered charity (507834). The Friends are working with Stoke on Trent City Council (the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery), Birmingham City Council (Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery), Staffordshire County Council, Lichfield District Council and Tamworth Borough Council, to raise money to research, conserve and display the Staffordshire Hoard, as part of a planned Mercian Trail.

Thank you for your support
