Headway - the brain injury association
Headway - the brain injury association is the UK's leading charity working to improve life after brain injury. We provide support and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers, as well as to professionals in the health and legal fields. Brain injury can challenge every aspect of your life - walking, talking, thinking and feeling - and the losses can be severe and permanent. It can mean losing the life you once lived and the person you once were. Brain injury is the foremost cause of death and disability in young people today. Headway campaigns nationally for the introduction of measures to reduce instances of brain injury.

Clerksroom is supporting Headway, the brain injury charity in 2011 and would be delighted with any support you give for any of our 2011 events.

Stephen Ward & Martin Davies will be running the Chester Marathon on the 9th October 2011. Any support you feel able to offer is most welcome.

Stephen Ward ran the London Marathon on the 17th April 2011.

Thank you to everyone who has pledged money to support me in my attempt to run the London Marathon on Sunday 17th of January.

My pledge page if you need to check out the amount pledged can be seen at http://giverdam.com/stephenward/

I finished in 5 hours 27 mins and came overall 28,292. So I was not last, that means I achieved my goal! Thank you all so much for your amazing support which kept me going around the course. The money will be put to good use by Headway and help so many brain injured people through what must be a terrible injury. I had an amazing day and found the first 18 miles OK, the last 8 and 200 yards were very tough. I enjoyed it so much I am planning to run the Chester Marathon with Martin Davies (Chambers Director) in October now. I hope to beat my now personal best of 5 hours 27 minutes.  My runner number was 40-234 and you can see my photo's at marathonphoto.com My legs no longer work after 2 days of rest but I had no blisters, just pain all round. It was worth it! Thank you again for your amazing support.
