Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF)
Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an independent international humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters or exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries. Every year MSF sends around 3,000 doctors, nurses, logisticians, water-and-sanitation experts, administrators and other professionals to work alongside over 25,000 locally hired staff. Together they run medical projects in more than 60 countries around the world. In emergencies and their aftermath, MSF provides essential healthcare, rehabilitates and runs hospitals and clinics, performs surgery, tackles epidemics, carries out vaccination campaigns, operates feeding centres for malnourished children and offers psychological support. When needed, MSF also constructs wells and dispenses clean drinking water and distributes materials like blankets, plastic sheeting and other basic necessities. Through longer-term programmes, MSF treats patients with infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, sleeping sickness and HIV/AIDS and provides medical and psychological care to marginalised groups such as street children. MSF was founded in 1971 as the first non-governmental organisation to provide both emergency medical assistance and bear witness publicly to the plight of the people it assists. MSF is an international network with branches in 23 countries.
Cool Earth Action
Cool Earth works alongside indigenous communities to protect endangered rainforest 1. Put local people in control of threatened rainforest 2. Agree zero logging contracts 3. Build better incomes, better schools, better clinics 4. Do the same with the next village 5. Create a shield for the rainforest Cool Earth has protected 250,000 acres of forest that sit directly in the paths of chainsaws and bulldozers, creating a living shield to a further 2.5 million acres of forest. By spending more than 90p of every £1 donated directly on keeping the forest standing and focusing on the protection of the most at-risk rainforest, Cool Earth ensures that each donation makes the biggest difference possible.

Ollie, Jack, Dom & Steve: Mongol Rally 2014

Jack Chartres, Oliver Skittery, Steven Brace, Dominic Falcao,

My page:

Hi guys, we have all signed up to do the Mongol Rally this summer, an epic adventure that involves driving a totally unsuitable vehicle over 10000 miles from London to Mongolia (and back!).

The current route is something like this: England, France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia and of course Mongolia...

...AND THEN back, the quick way, through Russia!

Doctors without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières) are a humanitarian charity that provides medical assistance to countries affected by armed conflict, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. We have chosen MSF as the majority of the funds raised go directly to running their support programs. We will also be raising money for the Mongol Rally’s official charity, Cool Earth.

Ollie, Jack & Steve successfully completed the Bath Half marathon on 2nd March! More charity fundraising events to follow.

All the money raised on this page will go directly to these two charities. Thank you for all of your support.

Ollie, Steve, Dom and Jack
