The Kiltwalk
The Kiltwalk is fast becoming Scotland's most loved way of raising money for children's charities. We organise sponsored walking events across Scotland for all abilities and ages with 26 mile, 13 mile and 10km versions. And kilts aren't even obligatory, any bit of tartan will do. Our proceeds support some of Scotland's leading children's charities including Aberlour Children's Charity, Cash for Kids, CHAS, Children 1st, CLIC Sargent and many other children's causes throught Scotland!

My page:

Hello and welcome to our Virgin money giving pages, you can sponsor team A.M.T.A. (Ally MacLeod Tartan Army) and your donations will be quickly processed and passed on to charities. Virgin money giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charities behalf where the donor is eligible for this. Thank you for your support.

There are 5 Kiltwalks taking place this year. Glasgow (27th April) Edinburgh (11th May) Aberdeen (1st June) Speyside (14th September) and Finally Dundee on the 5th October 2014.

Each Kiltwalk has a choice of either 10k, 13 miles or 26 miles (23 for Glasgow this year due to the Commonwealth games) As a team we plan on not only having team members completing the above Kiltwalks but also John Grigor and his daughter Sarah Grigor are taking on the Machu Picchu Kiltwalk Challenge in September this year. Sarah, instead of celebrating her 18th birthday in Scotland will be walking for Scottish children in the hills of Peru.

At the moment our first challenge is the Glasgow Kiltwalk in April this year and while we are raising money for the Kiltwalk and their partner charities (Arberlour, TACC, Yorkhill, Edinburgh Sick Kids, Cash for Kids, Clic, Children’s first, Debra, Chas, A&M training) but also for local children’s charities within South Ayrshire and beyond. In 2013 we donated monies to Southcraig school in Ayr to enable them to install sensory lights and music into their swimming pool and also to Ardfin, which is a much needed respite house, in Prestwick to give the children the opportunity of horse riding in the summer months.

At the moment team A.M.T.A. is 38 strong and all are doing the full Glasgow Kiltwalk.

We thank you in advance for your kind donations made not only on this page but to our team members personally in the form of sponsorship.
