Charity
The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland working to help people with MND secure the care and support they need, while also promoting research into causes, treatments and a cure. The Association has a vision of a world free of MND. Its mission is to fund and promote research to understand what causes MND, how to diagnose it and, most importantly, how to effectively treat it so that it no longer devastates lives. It is also committed to making sure everyone with MND receives the best care, achieves the highest quality of life possible, and dies with dignity. This includes supporting the families and carers of people with MND as well.
Please note Virgin Money Giving isn't responsible for the content fundraisers post on their pages, but if you see something you feel is offensive or inappropriate, please let us know and we'll look into it.
Jindy Khera's fundraising page
On the 21st April, I will be yet again taking part in the London Marathon. This year I will be raising money for Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
Motor neurone disease is a fatal disease that kills five people in the UK every day. Today there are 5,000 people living with MND in the UK alone. MND can affect any adult at any age. It is a rapidly progressive neurological condition and around half of those diagnosed with MND die within 14 months. There is no effective treatment and no cure. The MND Association is the only national charity in England, Wales and Northern Ireland that provides supports for people affected by MND and funds and promotes research into the disease to bring an end to MND. Find out more at www.mndassociation.org.
The Association relies on voluntary donations and I would highly appreciate any assistance in helping me raise as much money as possible for this worthwhile cause !
Donations can be made via the Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
Many thanks,
Jindy
