Charity
When a parent is told their child will not live to be an adult it is the start of an agonising journey. A childhood terminal illness challenges every belief, emotion and dream a parent may have for their special son or daughter. Hope House Children’s Hospices Hope House in Oswestry and Ty Gobaith in Conwy provide practical and emotional support to families facing the pain of losing their precious child. It costs £3.5 million a year to run both hospices which rely almost entirely upon donations as well as many generous individuals who fundraise on our behalf by organising fantastic fundraising events across the regions.

Susan Bowerman's fundraising page
Hi, thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In April 2011 I am undertaking the enormous challenge of running the Virgin London Marathon – a whole 26.2 miles.
For those who know me you’ll understand what a big commitment this is.
I am determined to succeed in this challenge and with the help of friends, family and my colleagues at Virgin Balloon Flights I hope to raise as much money as possible for local charity Hope House based in Shropshire. Hope House provide practical and emotional support to families facing the pain of losing their precious child to a childhood terminal illness.
I am working hard at raising funds and two of my colleagues Camilla and Liz will be helping me out on April the 9th by doing tandem skydives from 10,000 feet, falling at 120MPH! There is a picture of the three of us together in the gallery – to make a donation to myself, Liz or Camilla for the skydive challenge please note in your message who the donation is for.
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to my chosen charity.
Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on the charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
Huge thanks,
Sue x
