Team Margot Foundation
Family and friends came together as 'Team Margot' for former leukaemia patient Margot Martini who passed away in October 2014. We continue to honour Margot’s legacy as a permanent Foundation and campaign for more potential bone marrow/stem cell donors to join the register, especially people with a mixed genealogy. Margot’s mixed family background was the key obstacle to finding her a perfect match. To date, Team Margot's efforts mean that statistically, over 500 people will now get the chance of a life saving bone marrow transplant. As a grant giving Foundation, we also support people and projects close to our hearts, more specifically charities & research related to bone marrow/stem cell transplants, such as blood disorders like Leukaemia and those caring for child cancer patients. Everyone at Team Margot is a volunteer. Every penny raised for the Foundation will go to the wonderful people and causes we support. Thank you so much for yours. Team Margot Together, saving lives

WE ARE BACK! Following the disappointment of the Celtic Challenge 2016 being cancelled last year owing to bad weather, the team have persevered, retrained and are now ready for this years race!

On the weekend of 29/30 April 2017, Team Margot Rowers will be embarking on a charity row across the Irish Sea in a Celtic longboat, in support of the charity, Team Margot Foundation, to raise awareness of the urgent need for more people to join the bone marrow register.

The rowing event, which is called the Celtic Challenge, is the longest true rowing race, a 95 mile race across the Irish Sea from Arklow, Ireland to Aberystwyth, Wales. It is likely to take around 24 hours to complete.

100% of the funds raised for Team Margot Foundation will go to the people and projects close to our hearts - more specifically charities and research related to bone marrow/stem cell transplants, blood disorders like leukaemia and those caring for child cancer patients.
