Team Norwich City is running the 2012 London marathon with a representative squad including Canaries legend Iwan Roberts, Chief Executive David McNally and BBC Radio Norfolk presenters Stephen Bumfrey and Helen McDermott.

Also in the team is Craig Richardson who, during a tour of Afghanistan with the RAF Regiment in 2008, was badly injured by a pressure-plate IED which resulted in the amputation of his right leg below the knee. CSF Director Ian Thornton, EDP Editor Peter Waters and Norwich City FC Head of Catering Chris Pope will be taking part.

Joining the team as winner of the Norwich City FC fans’ competition is Helen Southgate from Hellesdon. Helen is a massive Norwich City fan and a Super Member. She owns her own catering business and ran the 2011 marathon for Help the Heroes, raising £2,690 pounds and finishing in 5 hours and 4 minutes with an inflatable canary on her back.

Completing the line-up is Martin Colley from Stalham who won the Norwich City FC staff competition. Martin works with Canary Catering and will be running in his first full marathon.

The team will be raising money for the CSF's Sporting Light Appeal which aims to brighten up people's lives through sport by raising £50,000 to enable us to continue to deliver vital services for disadvantaged people and those with disabilities.

The marathon places have been awarded to the Community Sports Foundation by Virgin Money who will be providing the team with their Giving pages.
