Team SPUKI Channelling for Water!

Fundraisers:

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/TeamSPUKI

Imagine having to live with water that isn't actually safe to drink. Imagine having to walk four miles every day just to get it.
Finally, imagine living in the knowledge that your child might be one of the 4,000 who die every day as a result of dirty water and poor sanitation.
That's the reality facing millions of families around our world, 1 in 8 of whom does not have access to clean, safe drinking water.
At Samaritan's Purse, we are committed to ending that by providing water filters, hand-dug wells and latrine blocks, by capping natural springs and repairing broken boreholes, by providing education on sanitation and hygiene.
Team SPUKI is: Gemma Pearce, Alex Day, Allister Clewlow, Anita Darasha-Borman, Carly Peek, Denise Cheesman, Faith Spinks, Katie Talbot-Vaux, Malc Seaman, Mike Williams, Ros Turner, Ruth Sanders, Sandra Fells, Susan Harrison, Simon Barrington, Jane Simmonds, Yvette Mays, Raymond McCaw, Andy Ransberry, Sara James, Carol Henderson, Carol Outlaw, Nick Haslam, Emma Thetford, Louis Clark, Lisa Kliszat and David Brain.
We will be swimming the equivalent distance of the English Channel (22 miles or 1408 lengths of a 25m pool) to help raise money towards our (Samaritan's Purse) Turn on the Tap projects such as those mentioned above.
This represents, for all of us, a personal challenge, so whether we are swimming 1 length or 200, we are all training hard!
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
