Macmillan Cancer Support
We exist to help improve the lives of people affected by cancer, both those living with cancer and also their families and carers. Our primary focus is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer.
RNLI
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution is the charity that saves lives at sea. The RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crews rescue an average of 22 people every day around the coasts and waterways of Britain and Ireland. From 235 lifeboat stations, they are well trained and equipped to put to sea in the most fearsome conditions when the call comes. RNLI lifeguards patrol more than 140 beaches in England and Wales. As well as rescuing people from the water, they are also on hand for first aid and safety advice, making sure everyone can make the most of their day at the beach. Are you passionate about the water? Do you want to be part of a lifesaving team? Whatever the reason for your interest in our work, we’d love to have you onboard. The RNLI is an independent charity and receives no government funding. We rely on public support.

Hi, thanks for visiting our page.

We are a team of four windsurfers who undertook the 30km crossing in one run from Tenby in Pembrokeshire to Llangnneith/Rhossili on the Gower on Friday 19th August 2011.

Team (in age order!): David Stockwell, Owen Bowen, Scott Harrison and John Pym

Support boats: Jon Tallis, Mike Prout, Adrian (Cameraman) and Ferry Side Lifeboat http://www.ferryside-lifeboat.co.uk/.

We've done it!!!  Massive thanks to Jon Tallis, Mike Prout, Adrian Lort Phillips, Ferryside Lifeboat and last but not least Beryl and Del for driving around and helping us recover at Llangennith.

Please visit these links: photos from the beach and photos from the boat

With Gift Aid our total is now over £4000, twice our original target so huge thanks to all who have donated with particular thanks to Npower (£1000) and the West Wales Truck and Transportation Show organisers (£500).  Keep it coming!

The date selection depended on the weather conditions and coordinating 6+ persons diaries!   Ideal conditions - 20kts+ wind, 1 - 2mt swells, wind direction SSW or NNE!

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the RNLI and MacMillan charities.

Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
