Childhood can be one of the most difficult experiences if you are having a tough time at home. CHICKS provides free respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK, who would not otherwise have a break in that year. The children CHICKS supports come from a variety of backgrounds from living in poverty, children that are being neglected or abused, either mentally, physically or sexually, children who have lost parents or even children who are full time young carers. In 2012 the charity aims to provide a respite break for 1200 children. With no government funding and relying solely on donations they need your help to make this possible. The Real Relay's fundraising page
The Endurancelife Real Relay is an exciting attempt to follow the entire route of the official Olympic Torch around Britain in one continuous non-stop journey, running every step of the way. Starting out from Land’s End at midnight on Monday 28 May, the Real Relay will involve hundreds of runners from across Great Britain running through the day and night on an 8000 mile mission to reach London in time for the Olympic Games opening ceremony.
We’re calling on runners from all over Great Britain to join the relay to run one or more of the stages and help us achieve one of the greatest Olympic endeavours of all time.
Each runner is asked to donate a minimum of £10 to the Real Relay official charity, CHICKS. But you don't have to be a runner to donate! Show your support for the Real Relay and help raise money for a great cause by donating online now.
