Bhubesi Pride is doing the THREE PEAKS CHALLENGE to raise money for the charitable venture:
BHUBESI PRIDE’S TRANSAFRIQUE 2011 is a charitable African rugby coaching expedition, whereby a highly qualified multi-national team of eight dedicated coaches will next January drive from Cheltenham to Cape Town over 6 months, making week-long educational visits at 15 schools in ten African countries.
Bhubesi Pride will be using rugby as the platform for long-term community development.
The objectives are as follows:
- To UNITE African youngsters (boys and girls, aged 10 - 15) through rugby, addressing health and social education
- EMPOWER local coaches and teaching staff, creating a rugby legacy
- INSPIRE people in the UK, using the expedition as a platform to generate long-term school LINKS; leading to sustainable development in the African schools
