Tom's Trek 2011

Fundraiser:
Tom Benyon

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/TomBenyon

The walk in 2011 will be a total of 330 miles to raise funds
for ZANE's work with the desperate people in Zimbabwe
and departs Land’s End on Tuesday 14th June at 9.00 am.
Tom will be accompanied by a support driver along the route.
Any offers of corporate sponsorship may be featured on the
Walk publicity or vehicle and would be most welcome.
Additional walkers are warmly encouraged and sponsorship
forms are available. Please get in touch with us via www.zane.uk.com.
With your help, I hope to raise several hundred thousand pounds.
THE REASON
I am again walking so far because the position in Zimbabwe has never been so dire. Costs have risen by 600% and demand for ZANE’s services is up 500%. To cap it all the UK pound, in which we raise our money, has fallen against the US dollar, in which we have to spend on food and vital medicines, by roughly 25%.
So every pound counts and we must make every aching mile pay!
I would far rather wear out than rust out. As the late Sir James Goldsmith once said: “Anyone over the age of 65 who wakes up not hurting has to be dead”.
So please help ZANE by sponsoring me or by asking your friends to do so.
Best wishes and thank you for your generous support to date.
