Walking With The Wounded
Walking With The Wounded (WWTW) was established in 2010 to raise funds to finance the re-training of wounded servicemen and women and in so doing assist them in acquiring the skills and qualifications necessary to find new careers outside the military. Our ability to fundraise effectively ensures we can finance new qualifications, courses and further education through our First Steps Bursary Scheme as well as via organisations and projects; such as The Warrior Programme and The Poppy Factory. This enables the blind, the burn victims, the mentally injured, the amputees and all the other wounded to rebuild their lives and return to the work place and in so doing provide long-term security for themselves and their families. In conjunction with individual fundraising events, Walking With The Wounded also promotes awareness of the charity, our wounded community and the challenges faced by all those living with disability by undertaking high profile expeditions with wounded veterans and serving soldiers that are generously funded by corporate donors. These corporate sponsorships allow private donations such as yours to go exclusively towards the work we do helping re-educate and retrain our injured veterans. Following the success of our previous expeditions to the North Pole in 2011 and Mount Everest in 2012, this year’s expedition, the South Pole Allied Challenge, is our most ambitious yet, and involves three teams of wounded servicemen and women from the United Kingdom, the United States and the Commonwealth embarking on a race to the Geographic South Pole this December. At a time when so many charities are asking for people's generosity, we are hugely grateful for any donations which are made. Please follow our build up to the expedition at Many thanks for your support.

Hello Everyone!

During April 2017 I will be taking on the Marathon des Sables in order to raise money for Walking With The Wounded. The Marathon des Sables comprises six marathons in a row through the Sahara desert, all whilst having to carry everything to get you through the week that it takes. I am doing this in order to raise money for Walking With The Wounded.

Walking With The Wounded is a charity that raises funds for the re-education and re-training of wounded service personnel, whether that be physcial or mental. Their work allows former service personnel to effectively re-integrate into society and continue with their lives despite the injuries that they suffered in the line of duty.

Therefore, to contribute to this cause, as well as to help me through the delirium that I'm sure wil set in when I'm in the middle of a fifty mile run in the Sahara, please give generously. Any donations would be hugely appreciated!

Thank you very much,
