German Shepherd Rescue Elite Ltd.
German Shepherd Rescue Elite (GSRE) has been formed with the aim of rescuing, re-homing German Shepherd Dogs and educating people on the breed. GSRE is backed up by a team of unpaid volunteers who strive to aid and promote responsible ownership of the breed. GSRE aim is to be the prevention and not always the cure, through offering education on the lovely breed and how to look after these amazingly intelligent and energetic dogs. We not only look to re-home dogs but keep them in their original homes by offering training and behaviour advice. Through our volunteers and website we want to inform people on all aspects of dog ownership before you decide to take the plunge especially as German Shepherd Dogs are a large working breed and are not suitable for everyone. The GSRE works alongside many other rescues which means that through team work and pulling together we can help even more dogs in need. Please help today!

My page:

Back in 2014 I teamed up with a cricketing friend Richard Wells, we challenged the World’s Longest Cricket net, which at the time stood at only 25hrs (continuous) we broke this record and achieved 48hrs and raised over £16k for our chosen charity. We become WORLD RECORD HOLDERS

Our Story of why back then can be viewed here:

3 years on we have decided to take on this challenge again, which now stands at 52hrs. This time, there will be 3 of us aiming to bring this record back to Lincolnshire. We will be attempting a massive 60+ continuoes hours of batting. Our chosen charity for the 3 of us will be Lincs/Notts Air Ambulance.

Challenge dates are Starting 9am 23rd November 2017 through to 26th November 2017.

Venue: Northgate Sports Hall, Carres Grammar School, Northgate, Sleaford, Lincs, NG34 7AD

MY PERSONAL SIDE CHARITY will be the German Shepherd Rescue Elite. This is the story why:

I met my wife 7 years ago, knowing nothing about her, nor the fact we owned a German Shepherd called ISIS from a puppy, a part from falling in love with Izzy, i fell in love with the German Shepherd breed. In 2014 we got ACER as a small puppy, this was my 1st ever dog. Sadly, 12/07/16 ISIS passed away at the age of 11 years.

As massive Shepherd lovers we came across a rescue called German Shepherd Rescue Elite and then 07/08/16 a stunning, beautiful young lady called Wiggy at 8 months came into our lives. 6 months later, the shocking death of ACER (2 ½ years old) hit us hard, this tore a huge hole in my heart. It wasn’t long (1 month) before I received a phone call from a lovely guy called Clive, who was currently fostering  a beautiful dog called Roxy (shocked to receive this call as Roxy had already gone to her forever home) we booked a viewing that same week, 10/03/17 she jumped into my car boot and we took her home. Wiggy and Roxy are now forever sisters… Rescues, simply do NOT run themselves, so I decided to become a volunteer to house check potential adopters who can provide these wonderful dogs a new LIFE… I can proudly say I have homed 5 Rescue Shepherds. Wiggy, Roxy (we own) Sasha (Dingwalls), Archie (my Cousin) and the latest family edition Marshall (Mothering Law)

This breed has touched my heart in a big way and I have learnt so so much about them in really a short period of time, mainly thanks to Izzy my wife, who has owned them (3) for many many years. Therefore I would like to give something back to this wonderful rescue, which is one reason why I am taking on this challenge and raising the rescue much needed funds.
