Medecins Sans Frontieres/Doctors Without Borders (MSF)
Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF) is an independent international humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency medical aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural and man-made disasters or exclusion from health care in more than 60 countries. Every year MSF sends around 3,000 doctors, nurses, logisticians, water-and-sanitation experts, administrators and other professionals to work alongside over 25,000 locally hired staff. Together they run medical projects in more than 60 countries around the world. In emergencies and their aftermath, MSF provides essential healthcare, rehabilitates and runs hospitals and clinics, performs surgery, tackles epidemics, carries out vaccination campaigns, operates feeding centres for malnourished children and offers psychological support. When needed, MSF also constructs wells and dispenses clean drinking water and distributes materials like blankets, plastic sheeting and other basic necessities. Through longer-term programmes, MSF treats patients with infectious diseases such as tuberculosis, sleeping sickness and HIV/AIDS and provides medical and psychological care to marginalised groups such as street children. MSF was founded in 1971 as the first non-governmental organisation to provide both emergency medical assistance and bear witness publicly to the plight of the people it assists. MSF is an international network with branches in 23 countries.
Cool Earth Action
Cool Earth works alongside indigenous communities to protect endangered rainforest 1. Put local people in control of threatened rainforest 2. Agree zero logging contracts 3. Build better incomes, better schools, better clinics 4. Do the same with the next village 5. Create a shield for the rainforest Cool Earth has protected 250,000 acres of forest that sit directly in the paths of chainsaws and bulldozers, creating a living shield to a further 2.5 million acres of forest. By spending more than 90p of every £1 donated directly on keeping the forest standing and focusing on the protection of the most at-risk rainforest, Cool Earth ensures that each donation makes the biggest difference possible.

Good day rally fans, specifically fans of the infamous Yurt Lush team.

If you're here, you're thinking about donating. And we would love it if you would. Our aim is to take a small 1L engined car and drive it 10,000miles to Mongolia. In doing this, we hope to raise a total of £1000 for Cool Earth and MSF.

Both of the charities carry out extremely valuable work in both protecting the environment and providing desperately needed medical care.

Cool Earth is a unique charity that is saving the world’s most endangered rainforest from the ground-up. It does so by working hand in hand in hand with these local communities to ensure that they are best placed to protect the rainforest themselves, as well as protecting strategic sections of forest which provide a protective blockage for many thousand acres of adjacent forest. The rainforest is an immeasurably valuable resource, as a habitat for rare and endangered species, as a source of new medical discoveries and finally also as a major carbon sink.

MSF is a Nobel Peace Prize winning organisation which was founded on the principle that all people have the right to medical care regardless of race, religion, creed or political affiliation. The organization actively provides health care and medical training to populations in approximately 70 countries where its projects help those in war-torn regions and developing countries facing endemic diseases.
