The Trust is a funding charity that supports specialist social welfare legal advice services in London and the South East
22 May 2017
Thousands of lawyers, colleagues and friends walking to raise funds to support free legal advice in and around London. This iconic 10km walk around central London is the largest fundraising event in the legal calendar. Funds raised enable the advice centres to help thousands of people including the homeless, housebound elderly, victims of domestic violence and people trafficking and many more.

Zacchaeus 2000 Trust's fundraising page
Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2017 London Legal sponsored walk.
We are walking to raise funds for The Zacchaeus 2000 Trust (Z2K) and all funds raised through this page by LLST will be donated to Z2K with no deduction.
Our team members are: Matthew Ahluwalia, Sam Ashton, Maeve Feeney, Atty Fitzgerald, Raji Hunjan, Anne Killeen, Lilian Lee, Godfrey Luyombya, John Lindsley, Mick McAteer, Rebecca Senior, Valerie Smith, Shannon Upton & Daniel Wrapson (and many more to come)
Z2K is a London wide anti-poverty charity which provides advice and support to vulnerable families and individuals on low incomes who have disputes with the welfare benefits system or housing problems. Last year we helped more than 1,500 families gain almost £2m in financial benefit.
Although London is one of the richest cities in the world it is also home to more than 2.1 million people living in poverty. The continued impact of welfare reform means the lives of low income Londoners are getting worse, not better.
In this context we have received a huge increase in demand for our services and the support available elsewhere is shrinking so we need your support more than ever before.
Help us provide free tribunal representation!
“If I had to do the appeal on my own I would have failed. I don’t see how anyone who needs PIP is able to get it on their own. Without Z2K I think I could have committed suicide. I was in a very poor way.” Steve*
Since the introduction of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) Z2K has seen a huge increase in demand for our tribunal representation service. With almost 50% of those being reassessed for PIP from DLA losing all or some of their money there is an almost limitless need for support.
Z2K works with volunteers and law firms to provide support for those wrongly denied disability benefit, including representation at the tribunal hearing itself. We have an 80% success rate for appeals and know the figure is much lower for those not fortunate enough to have support.
Please donate generously so that we can continue to help people like Steve and many more of the most vulnerable in society.
Many thanks for your support!
