Naomi House Children's Hospice
Every day, Naomi House helps to relieve the pressures faced by families caring for a very sick child who won’t live to become an adult. Since 1997 we have been able to provide a home-from home environment to over 600 families thanks to the support of thousands of individuals, hundreds of volunteers and many local companies. Your support can make such a difference. Whether you can donate money or time, we offer a range of ways to help children with life-limiting conditions and their families to enjoy precious time together at Naomi House. Naomi House relies heavily on donations. We receive over 90% of our funding from supporters across Berkshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, West Sussex, Surrey and Wiltshire. Every donation, large or small makes a difference, to the children and families who receive support from us. Hundreds of children and families benefit from the work of Naomi House each year, your donation can help to ensure that we can continue to give them the support they need .

Zoe Sadler - Loch Lomond & Round Jersey swims

Fundraiser:
Zoe Sadler

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/ZoeSadler

Hi, thanks for visiting my sponsorship page.

On 18th July 2015 I successfully swam around the island of Jersey. The distance of this swim is around 41 miles.

My swim was the 98th successful solo swim around Jersey,

In addition to this swim I will also be swimming the length of Loch Lomond (21.6 miles) in August 2015. This has only been completed 50 times, and it's very cold in there!

I follow "Channel Rules" for all of my swims and wear just one swimming costume, a swimming cap, earplugs, a pair of goggles and plenty of sunscreen and Vaseline!

As I am 41 years old with a full-time job, a husband and two children, preparation for these swims is obviously quite a challenge!

Details of my other swims to date can be found here.

I have chosen to fundraise for Naomi House as it is a local hospice which cares for very sick children and their families in their times of need. Naomi House & Jacksplace provide support to children and young adults who are likely to die at an early age. They provide, respite, emergency and bereavement care.

In January 2013 Amelia Saunders sadly passed away at Naomi House after battling a rare form of cancer. Amelia spent the last few days of her short life at Naomi House.  Amelia attended the same school in Reading as my two children. I hope that I can raise some vital funds from my swims this year and these donations can be used to help other families, like Amelia's, who may need to use the facilities at Naomi House & Jacksplace. Details of Amelia can be found here

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

Thank you very much,

Zoe xxx
