Someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer such as leukaemia every 23 minutes. A blood stem cell (or bone marrow) transplant is often the only cure. Currently Anthony Nolan is only able to provide a matching donor for half the people that come to us in need of a lifesaving transplant. With your help we can grow our register of remarkable people willing to donate their stem cells, facilitate more transplants and save more lives. It costs £100 to recruit, tissue type and maintain just one potential donor to our register. Your donations will help fund our lifesaving work. Andy, Phil and Rob take on London
We ran the London Marathon together back in 2005, and we've decided to do it again!
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us to run the London Marathon and raise money for a superb and very deserving charity - The Anthony Nolan Trust.
Over the last 35 years, The Anthony Nolan Trust has grown from the personal crusade of one mother to become a world leader in the field of tissue type analysis and tissue transplant technology.
Although Shirley’s quest could not keep her son alive, The Anthony Nolan Trust has given over 8,000 children and adults the gift of life since the charity was founded over 35 years ago.
A pioneering approach has continually placed this Charity at the forefront of developments in tissue transplantation and bone marrow register management. The Anthony Nolan Trust continues to evolve - to ensure it is doing everything possible to maximise the survival chances of anyone needing a bone marrow transplant.
Donations will be quickly processed and passed to The Anthony Nolan Trust. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
