The Hertfordshire Care Trust runs three projects for children and young people who are under-achieving, in difficulties or at risk. The Wheels Project provides practical training in work skills for those who have missed out on standard school and college courses. The Project runs a workshop and organises activities so that young people who might otherwise be excluded can participate in education and training. The Wheels Mobile Project A converted double decker bus with games consoles, IT equipment, cooking facilities, music, information and guidance materials relevant to young people. It is provided to young people free of charge and in their local community. The Ace Project A project for children who are not attending school because of problems in the home and/or at school. It operates in over half of Hertfordshire and has been running since 1999 with great success.

Anna's London Marathon
Hiya, thanks for visiting my page peeps.
So, after breaking my ankle ice skating 10 weeks ago, I may be slightly insane but I'm determined to carry out my promise and determination to run the full 26 miles of the London Marathon this year for the Herts Care Trust.
I chose this slightly lesser known charity as I wanted to give something back to the community I come from. I firmly believe charity starts at home and through the wonderful work of the Herts Care Trust they help rehabiliate and give opportunities to young people from Hertfordshire that haven't perhaps had the best start in life and who society have let down.
I've met some of these fab young people who are being helped by the Trust's work, they are gaining vital life and social skills aswell as educational and practical qualifications. These people want a chance to move forward into their adult lives where they can be proud of a career and/or embrace decent moral values.
Where so many people write of teenagers who are wrongly labelled 'trouble makers' or 'no hopers', they often just need a chance to prove themselves and guidance and support to carve out a positive future.
If you could spare a little cash to donate to me, and in turn to the Herts Care Trust, we'd all be most grateful. I'm determined to raise as much as I can so we can plough it straight into developing the much needed resources the Trust desperately requires. We need a new Wheels Project bus and for that we need £50K...please help!!
