The Aspinall Foundation in conjunction with Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks is devoted to protecting endangered animals, and where possible returning them to protected areas in the wild.
The John Hartson foundation has been established through the determination of John himself following his long battle with testicular cancer. If you know John’s story you will be aware that despite knowing that he had a lump in his groin for four years, John didn’t get it checked out. John now realises that was a huge error of judgement on his part, which could have cost him his life. The experiences of those months have made John passionate about getting the message across to other men to check themselves regularly and act immediately if they discover a lump, regardless of whether it’s painful or not. John’s ignorance so nearly cost him his life and John don’t want anyone else to do what he did. If caught early enough then Testicular Cancer can be beaten.

Aspers Swansea Iron Man
Last year Aspers Swansea, Northampton and Newcastle raised over £17,000 for the Aspinall Foundation through our own virtual bike race 'The Tour De Aspers'. The teams from the three sites cycled 786 miles in 45hrs 17 mins!
This year we've got another challenge on our hands... the Aspers Iron Man! The teams will be cycling, running and rowing their way to success and all this will take place inside the casino! The team will be cycling 112 miles on a stationary bike, running 26.2 miles on a treadmill and rowing 26.2 miles on a rowing machine! This year each site has also chosen to support a charity that is local and close to the team members hearts and for Aspers Swansea we have chosen the John Hartson Foundation.
Both the Aspinall Foundation and John Hartson Foundation are great charities and we really hope you will dig deep and support the team to raise money for two great causes!
Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.
