Ben Turner's London Marathon Fundraising Page
In a moment of madness at the start of January, i decided to enter the London Marathon and chose Children with Cancer as the charity i would raise money for. It would be great if you can donate as much money as you can for such a great charity as cancer has affected so many people but few people think of it as a young persons disease!
If you didn't know, my Dad was diagnosed with cancer back in August last year and as you can expect it was the worst news of my life and something everyone dreads to hear. After a couple of operations and some very stressful moments he has made a full recovery and has been given the all clear which is great news! My Dad is an amazing person and i owe him so much for what he has done for me in my life and i couldn't bear the thought of him not being here!
I'm aiming to raise over £1500 for a great charity, so when donating please think of all the brave Children who are very unfortunate to have cancer and their families who will be worrying every minute of every day hoping for receovery. The money raised will go towards Life-saving research, Innovative welfare projects and raising awareness. For more information check out the website on www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk
On race day you will easily notice the people running for Children with Cancer as we will all be wearing bright blue, yellow and red vests featuring the Mr Men. If you want to come and support me it would be great to see some familiar faces around the course as this will definitely keep me going!
