Charities

The Stroke Association
We believe in life after stroke. That’s why we campaign to improve stroke care and support people to make the best possible recovery. It’s why we fund research into new treatments and ways to prevent stroke. We are a charity, and rely on your support to change lives and prevent stroke. Thank you.
Cardiac Risk In The Young
Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is the UK charity that supports those affected by conditions that can cause young sudden cardiac death. Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) aims to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. CRY is a national charity and relies on the generous donations of CRY supporters to fulfill it's ambitious aims. For more information please contact CRY on 01737 363 222 or cry@c-r-y.org.uk
The Daisy Garland
A family-run national children’s charity providing active support for children with drug-resistant epilepsy and their parents/carers. The charity was set up in memory of our daughter Daisy who tragically died at 6 years of age from SUDEP (sudden unexpected death in epilepsy patients). We provide NHS hospitals with ketogenic dietitians - a medically recognised and accepted way of treating drug resistant epilepsy. This diet is not widely available on the NHS due to lack of funding. We also provide grants for night-time breathing monitors to children with drug-resistant epilepsy.

Hi, thanks for visiting our page!

On the 2nd August 2014 eighteen brave Berkeley souls will be taking part in the Yorkshire Tough Mudder where we will attempt to run twelve miles whilst also trying to complete obstacles such as the “Arctic Enema”, “Ladder to Hell” and “Electro shock Therapy” along the way. Although this alone is certainly not for the faint hearted we want to make our Tough Mudders really work for the challenge and so, for your amusement we will also be dressing up in something stupid and getting as muddy as we possibly can.

We will be doing all of this for three charities who represent something close to our hearts and mean something personally to us so thanks again for visiting our page and making a donation- it means a lot!

Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
