The Shakespeare Hospice
The Shakespeare Hospice, which is based in Stratford-upon-Avon, provides compassionate and professional care for members of our community whose lives are touched by serious illness. We offer comfort, information and choice to our patients and those who care for them, helping them through some of the most challenging times of their life. The Shakespeare Hospice does not charge for its services and is almost entirely voluntary funded, receiving less than 5% of its running costs from the NHS. Any support The Hospice receives from the public is therefore greatly appreciated and we are very grateful for the support we receive from anyone who kindly choose to raise money to fund our work.

Thank you for visiting Tracy and Angie's page!

We're rowing 31 miles in the Boston Marathon in Lincolnshire to raise money for The Shakespeare Hospice.  This was Angie's idea after my Mum passed away from cancer 3 years ago - the picture is of my lovely Mum - Jacqui (stroke), Angie (bow) and me (cox) rowing the Boston marathon in 1977 in a very heavy, wooden clinker pair.  We're doing it in memory of Mum, with the objective of raising as much money as we can for The Shakespeare Hospice.

These are the words of one of the Hospice's patients: "The Hospice brings hope, builds hope.  It encourages you to be philosophical about what's wrong and also to be practical about what's wrong.  The Hospice is friendly and supportive.  It is love in action".

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

Best wishes

Tracy and Angie x
