My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

The 22nd running of one of the best events in the Triumph enthusiasts calendar is now due on Friday 1st October to Sunday 3rd October 2010 Triumph motor

The event was first run in 1966 and is unchanged in its objective to drive around , covering nearly 2000 miles visiting pre-arranged control stops in 48 hours. (yes 48 hours ) Averaging at 55mph.

The start and finish will be the now traditional venue of The Plough public house at Crews Hill near Enfield , in Middlesex.

Since the events 1960s beginnings 782 crews have completed the event using Triumph cars of all descriptions,

Since 1990 the RBRR has been run on a charitable basis and entrants have collected over £335,000 for various national Charities. For the 22nd RBRR we have chosen MIND, and we hope to raise a sum of money to match previous year amounts. MIND are the leading mental health charity in England and Wales and their remit is to create a better life for anyone with experience of mental distress, a chilling fact of modern life being that one in four people in the UK will suffer from a form of mental distress during their life.

For this RBRR we will attempt to make the event Carbon Neutral. We have signed up with an organisation called ‘Climate Care’ who will use a variety of environmental measures to offset the carbon produced by this event.

Petrol costs and Climate offset costs are paid by the entrant (me) and all monies raised goes to the charity MIND, Yes that’s 100% of the money raised.

Our team consists of Myself Rob Southern and my good friend and team mate Stephen Thompson, We will be taking part in the above event in my 1971 Triumph Spitfire MKIV. ( ttp:// ) Which I restored over 7 years. The event is not a walk in the park and some do not complete the event due to car failures.

This event is HARD WORK its not just driving round for 2 days, turns are taken driving and to say this event is mental and physically tiring would be an understatement.

I last did this event in 2008 again with Steve Thompson (in his car that year) and it took me 2 days to get over the event.

Anyhow come on your sponsor money is needed and its going to a great charity, I must remind you all petrol costs and other costs in this event are picked up by me and Steve all monies raised go to the charity.

Many Thanks Rob Southern & Steve Thompson (Team Insulated shorts)
