Dear friends and family,
Welcome to our John O’Groats to Lands End Cycle Ride Fund Raising Page!
We are 15 intrepid cyclists from HMS BULWARK intending to cycle the length of the UK from top to bottom between the 24th of April and the 5th of May. We have called our event EXERCISE CELTIC CADENCE!
As you are doubtless aware, this is perhaps one of the most challenging cycle rides in the UK and demands significant physical exertion and strength of character to overcome the variety of terrain and weather conditions to be experienced along the route. Team work and physical preparation are vital and consequently our planning and training is well advanced in the knowledge that contemplating a challenge of this nature leaves no room for complacency.
We are determined that our efforts should be targeted towards those less fortunate and intend to raise money for the Royal Navy & Royal Marines Charity (RN&RM Charity).
We intend to complete the ride in 10 days which will mean cycling approximately 100 miles a day which translates to about 8 hours a day in the saddle!
