Charity

The Jamie Adamson Memorial Fund
A Family based, registered charity, established in memory of our son who passed away aged five years after a courageous battle with cancer. Jamie was born on Christmas Day but sadly spent his last birthday being taken into intensive care. Established in March 2005, the Jamie Adamson Memorial Fund, (JAM Fund) tries to help children throughout the UK who are suffering from ANY serious illness. Although a very small charity, we do our best to also aid the families of children who like Jamie, have sadly passed away. Jamie's legacy has been to offer help to others like him and we are very proud to be his parents. The charity has no paid workers and no offices and in this way we can ensure that the maximum amount donated goes directly where it should- to the children and families we help. Please view our website at WWW.JAMFUND.CO.UK. As a charity, we believe that YOU should be able to SEE EXACTLY where YOUR money has been used. There are pictures and examples on our website to support this so please come and take a look. Thank you for your time and help, Nicola and Paul, (Jamie's Mum and Dad)

Hi, thanks for visiting our page.

On Saturday 18th June 20 members and friends of Rawdon Golf and Lawn Tennis Club achieved their challenge of walking the 3 Yorkshire Peaks, playing a game of tennis on top of each summit!

Members-Matt,Georgina & Henry Martindale,Simon,Sally, Matt and Rob Bickerton,Dick,Kath,Jack,Sophie & Josie Baker,Anne & Wayne Parker,Jonathan Sowden,Laura Morris,Rosie Connell,Richard Taylor and friends Chris Berry and Neil all braved the elements to accomplish their mission in 12 hours.

According to the time logger in the Pen-y-ghent Cafe, this has never been attempted before and it is claimed that the highest lob ever hit was recorded at around 750m above sea level on the top of Whernside by Simon Bickerton!

The experience was very demanding for us all, but hugely enjoyable and exhilarating. Please see some of the photos below to witness the fun.

We would all like to thank all our sponsors very much for their support for our charity JAM fund-helpingchildren in the UK who are suffering from cancer- and the proposed funding towards replacing the current tennis lobby at Rawdon Golf and Lawn Tennis Club which was blown down recently in the winds with a permanent structure. Donations will still be accepted over the next 3 months on this page.

Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
