Rainbow Trust Children's Charity
This year Rainbow Trust celebrates its 25th anniversary. Founded in 1986, we have now supported thousands of families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness. With the help of the families who share their inspirational stories about the difference Rainbow has made to their lives, we have been able to raise our profile and tell more people about the valuable work that we do. From the humble beginnings of two staff and a kitchen table to work from, Rainbow is now a national charity and supports approximately 1000 families across England. Thanks to the dedication and hard-work of staff and volunteers, Rainbow continues to grow year on year and makes progress towards achieving its vision that one day all terminally ill children and their families will have access to a Rainbow carer. To mark this anniversary, Rainbow will be holding special profile raising fundraising activities to make this year our most successful yet.
ADVENTURE ASHRAM
Adventure Ashram is a charity founded and supported by adventurers. The bond created through our passion for adventure inspires us to help the communities that live in the places we explore. Our mission is to improve the lives of the poorest people through health and education. All the funds raised support the health and education in North and South India.

Hi everyone,

We decided we needed a challenge in our lives!! Karmaenduro has been in existence for a number of years and has raised a huge amount of money for their two named charities.  We have covered all of our own costs as well as the £2800 minimum charity donation, but we would really like to raise more as this will then be split between the named charities.

The car sounds fun!!  - especially as we can decorate it with company logos - ours is obviously on there but anyone donating who has a company can send us their logo details and we can have them printed and put on the car - your chance to be spotted in India!

Below are some details about the actual event:

Driving  2,000 kms across Europe in a modern car is no challenge.  Driving 2,000 kms across India's Western Ghat Mountain range and crossing the hazardous and diverse terrain of Goa, Kerala and Tamil Nadu in Southern India is not to be taken lightly. And as if that isn't enough, how about doing it in a 1950s car: the 37 horsepower  Ambi (like an original Morris Oxford).  Then add elephants and other wildlife that have never read the Highway Code and the most chaotic road system on earth!  And all in a country which most of us have no frame of reference for. Then you begin to realise what a challenge this can be!

The Karma Enduro is not for the faint-hearted as it will challenge to the limits participants' awareness, commitment and spirit.  Above all, it is not a race - the challenge is to complete the course in one piece. The  route includes ascending and descending high mountains, crossing fearfully hot and arid deserts and getting through crowded cities and remote forests.  Just a day or two would be enough, but driving these cars in these conditions for two weeks in 90 degree heat is a serious challenge of endurance, hence Karma Enduro.

Please help us to raise money - any amount would be appreciated.
