Mission Direct supports great locally led projects among the world’s poorest people. We do this by enabling people like you (ages 7-97), with two or more weeks to join our life-changing trips. By running relays of teams in over 10 countries, we typically build classrooms for children hungry to learn, homes taking people from unbelievable slums and clinics for the sick and mentally ill. Our volunteers also bring aid, help on a wide range of projects and consistently do amazing acts of kindness. We also run specialist teams to train medics and teachers and put computers into schools in Africa. We are a Christian charity committed to expressing God’s love for the poor.

Hi, the Choc-affair Chicks want to thank you for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations. following our amazing trip last year Linda and Gilly, Mariah, Olivia are heading back to Kumi, Uganda to set up a child sponsorship programme for children left orphaned by civil war and HIV. liz and Ian will be joining us on this new adventure, where we also hope to set up a few sustainable projects. As well as sponsoring some children to attend school, have clothes, food and medical treatment, we are hoping to help with a secondary school building project. Whaterver money we can raise we will see in action - there will be a direct and visible impact! For anyone choosing to sponsor an entire project, such as a piggery £1800, bakery £1800 or sponsor a child £130-£230 a year, we will provide photos, mail and progress reports. we are so excited to have this opportunity to make a difference and are looking foWward to getting stuck in - everyone must pull their weight! We are expecting lots of highs and lows along the way - its scary and exciting
the impact of any donation will be huge - it is not going to be frittered away on administration and indirect - There is not a penny wasted. We are embarking upon a series of fundraising events here in York - from coffee mornings, ebay to quizes etc.
