North London Hospice - North London Hospice cares for those living with a terminal illness in the Borough of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey. Our support extends to family, friends and carers to ensure they have the help they need to cope with any problems arising from the illness and to rebuild their lives afterwards. We provide a whole range of services including specialist care and advise on relief of symptoms in order to improve quality of life. Much of this work takes place in the community through our team of specialist doctors and nurses who advise and support families, GPs and district nurses on the best possible palliative care to enable people to remain in their own homes. For those requiring additional support we run a day care centre and a 17-bed inpatient unit. Our services are provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in order that we can always be there when needed. Likewise our bereavement service ensure families and friends continue to be supported for up to 14 months following the death of a loved one.

Dancing Strictly for North London Hospice

Ever wanted to learn Salsa or Ballroom and follow in the footsteps of Harry Judd or Alesha Dixon? Well join us for an evening of glitz and glamour and dance strictly for the hospice. Competitors will receive 7 weeks of training from professional teachers for FREE before going head-to-head in the grand finale on Saturday 9th February in the Bruce Forsyth Auditorium at Millfield Theatre.

This page is a place for your to show your support and sponsor all 12 of our amazing couples and group dancers, who are taking part in this year's 'Dancing Strictly for North London Hospice.'

The grand finale is fast approaching and after weeks of hard work and lessons, our couples will take to the stage at the Millfield Theatre to compete in becoming the first ever 'Dancing Strictly' Champions!

Help us to reach our combined fundraising target of £20,000. This money could go towards funding a Community Nurse for the hospice for a year, who will be able to treat patients in their own homes.

North London Hospice helps people to live with life-limiting illnesses providing emotional, spiritual and practical support to them, their families, friends and carers.

Our vision is that everyone living in the London Boroughs of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey should receive the specialist palliative care that they require to minimise their symptoms, maximise their quality of life and to live and die with dignity in the surroundings of their choice.

We also want patients' relatives, friends and carers to have the support they need to cope with any difficulties arising from the illness and to recover and rebuild their lives afterwards.

There is no charge for any of these services. The Hospice is a registered charity and we receive only a small proportion of our funding from the NHS. We rely on donations and legacies to help raise the £6 million every year that is needed for our care to continue.
