Ron Pickering Memorial Fund
The Ron Pickering Memorial Fund (RPMF) raises funds to help young aspiring talented athletes reach their true potential. The RPMF helps recipients make the difficult transition from junior to senior level through support for equipment, specialist coaching or travel and importantly help build the athletes’ confidence and self esteem through recognition. RPMF has raised and awarded over £1.5 million in small but significant grants to over 2,500 talented young British athletes, including all of the London 2012 and 2016 individual Olympic athletics medallists. “Sport is the most precious commodity we have to hand on to the next generation” Ron Pickering OBE Read more about the RPMF at rpmf.org.uk

Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

The Ron Pickering Memorial Fund raises invaluable funds to support young talented Track & Field athletes between the ages of 15 to 23, in order to help them through that difficult transition to the senior ranks.  Over the last 25 years they've been pretty successful helping over 2,500 youngsters.  The majority of the 2008, 2012 and 2016 British Olympic athletics teams were supported by the charity at some stage in their early careers.  Including all individual medallists in 2012 and 2016, plus Women's relay teams in 2016.  So, Jess Ennis, Mo Farah, Greg Rutherford to name a few. Each year RMPF help c. 200 athletes and the main source of their finance comes through volunteers running the London Marathon.
