David Hunt's London Marathon 2012

Fundraiser:
David Hunt

My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/DavidHuntMarathon2012

Hello everybody

On the 4th of June 2012 I will be fifty years old, hard to believe I know. I recently got to thinking about what I could do to mark this momentous occasion, flash holiday - can't afford it, big party - don't like enough people (joking), bungee jump - scared of heights then a flash of inspiration hit me - why not run 26 miles and 385 yards with 35,000 other people around the streets of London?

I am lucky enough to have been given a guaranteed place on the NSPCC team GO running team and will do my best to raise £2000 for them.

I am also running for the Fisherman's Mission and would like to raise £2000 for them also.

I am running the London Marathon in memory of a good friend of mine called Neil Murray, a well known and well loved Cornish Fisherman who sadly perished at sea in March of 2011,  I spent a fair bit of time with Neil at sea and got to know him well, he was very funny, very kind and a thoroughly decent man, I miss him but I do know for certain he would think I was bonkers signing up for the Marathon.

All donations made on this page will be split equally between the NSPCC and the Fisherman's Mission.

30th Jan 12 - my training is coming along nicely, now running miles well into double figures, need to try and stay fit now and eat tons of carbs!

Thank you very much for any support you can give me, much love David X
