Mencap
Mencap is the voice of learning disability. Everything Mencap does is about valuing and supporting people with a learning disability, and their families and carers. We work with people with a learning disability to change laws and services, challenge prejudice and directly support thousands of people to live their lives as they choose. There isn't room to list everything we do here, but there's loads of information on our website http://www.mencap.org.uk

Hi

Thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us (Graeme Elkin, Dave East and Peter Hounsham) and donations will be quickly processed.

We will be running the 8.5 mile course of The Grim Challenge in December 2011 for Mencap de Poel’s charity for 2012. This course is a gruelling run across the Army all terrain vehicle test track at Aldershot where we will encounter:-

  • Mud, Mud and More Mud
  • Deep Water Fording
  • Camouflage Nets to Crawl Under
  • Hills and Ravine’s
  • Puddles the Size of Ponds
  • Did We Mention Mud..!

We expect to get very, wet and very, very muddy on this run although it will all be worth it with your support for a very deserving charity. This is somewhat of a departure from our normal daily suit attire so expect some interesting photographs at the finish..!

For further details on the event, please visit www.grimchallenge.co.uk

We are using Virgin Money Giving as it is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
