Save the Rhino
Connecting Conservation and Communities Save the Rhino International works to conserve viable populations of critically endangered rhinos in Africa and Asia. We recognise that the future of wildlife is inextricably linked to the communities that share its habitat. By funding field projects and through education, our goal is to deliver material, long-lasting and widespread benefits to rhinos and other endangered species, ecosystems and to the people living in these areas.

Gidday!  Thanks for considering sponsoring us.  Since you are all friends and family we'll save the introductions and outright lies we'd write about ourselves and just say that we are doing this because there's a good chance it will break us.

We are attempting to complete the Comrades 89km Ultramarathon between Pietermaritzburg & Durban in South Africa in under 12 hrs, while wearing a 26lb rhino suit.  Daft?  Absolutely.  Worth sponsoring?  We think so.

Save the Rhino is a charity devoted to:

(A) Helping to save that beautiful, yet severely endangered creature;

(B) Saving communities - the average sponsored ranger or Save the Rhino worker supports around 10-25 other people in the same community directly or indirectly.

For more detail on the charity, please just ask us.
