Charities

MS Society
The MS Society is the UK's largest organisation dedicated to supporting the 100,000 people, their families and carers affected by multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is the most common neurological disorder among young adults and is usually diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 45. Our key services and projects include a national freephone helpline, respite care, an MS nurses programme, support for young people caring for families or relatives with MS, funding a dedicated MRI scanner for the diagnosis of MS, providing award-winning information publications and offering welfare grants for home adapdations and wheelchairs.
Isabel Hospice
At Isabel Hospice we care for people across Eastern Hertfordshire, who suffer from life-limiting illnesses, such as cancer and who are in the terminal stage. Our ethos is to treat the whole person, not simply their illness, and to maximise the quality of life that they have in their remaining months and weeks. Last year we cared for over 2,700 patients, family members and carers, free of charge. Our care is often described as a light in the tunnel at a very dark time. To give this free care, we need to raise over £4 million each year. Of this total, £2.7 million must be raised from charitable sources. Every penny really does count. To find out more about our services, log on to www.isabelhospice.org.uk Thank you.

17th - 27th March 2011 - Kilimanjaro Challenge
in aid of Isabel Hospice and The MS Society.

We are told its not for the faint hearted!  But have decided to give it a go anyway!  Andy Brace and Dave Hobbs will aim to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa climbing to an altitude of 5895 metres.

The full cost of the challenge will be covered by sponsorship from our own company Display World Ltd so every penny raised by your kind donations will be split between our two chosen charities, Isabel Hospice and The MS Society.   We both have very personal reasons for supporting these great causes.

Just like the mountain, our target is high so your help really is much appreciated.

Thanks for visiting our webpage.  Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to our charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
