Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity
Birmingham Children’s Hospital is one of only four specialist Children’s Hospitals in the UK. As well as providing first class general paediatric services to children in the West Midlands, we treat some of the sickest children in the country and provide some of the most highly specialised services in the country. Charitable donations to Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity support and benefit patients by helping to fund additional facilities and equipment, supporting medical research and providing the extras that make being in hospital a more comfortable and less distressing experience for children and their families. Birmingham Children’s Hospital is a centre of excellence. With your support we can keep it that way and ensure that it continues to care for our children whilst working to research, prevent, and cure childhood illnesses.
Katharine House Hospice
Katharine House Hospice provides a range of services offering help, care and support for people with advanced life-limiting conditions across mid-Staffordshire. These conditions include Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, End Stage Renal failure and Cancer. All services are free of charge. Stafford Hospice at Home began in 1989 and Katharine House Hospice day care unit opened in May 1993, the inpatient unit welcomed it’s first patient in September 2000, a Thursday Drop in Day commenced in July 2001 and a Carers Group in 2004. The Hospice is situated in the grounds of Stafford General Hospital but is independent from the hospital and relies heavily on donations for the £2.25 million needed to run the hospice each year.

My page:

Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

This year we have chosen to take on the Eiffel tower to tower of Pisa challenge, which will see a group of us travel on a bicycle ride through France to Italy, We will be riding across europe and through the southern alps pushing ourselves to complete a hard task both mentally and physically, whilst giving back to two charities that mean a lot to us. We are setting off on the 18th may 2017 and return home on the 3rd of june.

The charities we have chosen to support are Kathrine’s House Hospice, which is our local charity in stafford, they provide hospice care and support for people with advanced life-limiting conditions across mid-Staffordshire. These conditions include Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease, End Stage Renal failure and Cancer. All services are free of charge. We continue to support birmingham childrens hospital a leading UK specialist paediatric centre, offering expert care to 90,000 children and young people from across the country every year.

We pride ourselves in having knowledge close to home regarding these charities and we keep them close to our hearts as we push to achieve our goal. Each year we aim to do something to raise funds for those who aren’t as well of as ourselves, and we reach out to our community to help us along the way.

The team that are going on the fundraiser are all local to the area of Great Haywood and its surrounding villages, and they are all brilliant tradesmen in their field as well as competent cyclists who drive the best out of each other. The team, Richard Weals, Renovation Specialist, Dave Weals (Plumbing and heating engineer), Stuart Black (Operations Manager), and Pete Corbett (Civil engineer).

We ask to start raising funds now, and for you to kindly support us in our goal, and the thousands of people that our chosen charities help each year. The people of Kathrine’s House Hospice and Birmighams Childrens Hospital are counting on you, so please if you can, spare a small amount and help brighten someone’s future.

Thank you in advance for your support. It is greatly appreciated and noted that we have a following who is willing to help us achieve our goals, and help other people achieve stability and happiness.
