Teenage Cancer Trust
Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for the seven young people aged between 13 and 24 diagnosed with cancer every day. We build specialist units within NHS hospitals bringing young people together to be treated by teenage cancer experts in a place designed just for them. We want every young person with cancer to have access to this specialist support, no matter where they live. Traditionally treated alongside children or elderly patients at the end of their lives, young people can feel extremely isolated during treatment, some never meeting another young person with cancer. Being treated alongside others their own age can make a huge difference to their whole experience. Teenage Cancer Trust also educates young people and health professionals about cancer to ensure a swift diagnosis and referral to specialist support. Cancer in young people is rare but we want young people to know the common signs and symptoms so they can seek medical advice if they are worried. We rely solely on donations to fund our vital work. You can help transform the lives of young people with cancer. Visit to find out how.
Cardiac Risk In The Young
Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) is the UK charity that supports those affected by conditions that can cause young sudden cardiac death. Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions. Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) aims to reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young. By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions. CRY is a national charity and relies on the generous donations of CRY supporters to fulfill it's ambitious aims. For more information please contact CRY on 01737 363 222 or

Football Unites's fundraising page

Megan O'Donnell,

My page:

Raising money for Cardiac Risk in The Young (CRY) and Teenage Cancer Trust, this challenge marks 10 years since the death of Phil O'Donnell. A squad of friends and old team mates will complete the West Highland Way, finishing by climbing Ben Nevis.

The idea for the challenge was instigated by ex-Dundee United and Dunfermeline player, Jordan Moore, who was diagnosed with skin cancer at just 19 years old. Jordan wanted to take part in a challenge to raise money for chairty, and it just so happened that friends and family of Phil O'Donnell wanted to mark his 10 year anniversary in a similar way.

Football Unites looks to unite Scottish football for a great cause, so dig deep and help us fundraise for two amazing charities!
