Gail's 'Halfway to Ireland' Swim
Hello,
Thank you for taking time to visit my page.
I wanted to do some kind of challenge to motivate me to get fitter and healthier and also help others who are struggling with the effects of Cancer, either personally or because they have someone close who is living with it.
18 years ago I was told my Mum had lung cancer. I know the pain and heartache that goes with watching someone you love gradually fade away. She died two years later.
My challenge is to swim 28 miles (1,365 lengths) of my local pool between now and September 30th 2011.
This amounts to halfway across the Irish Sea.
Please give what you can. I appreciate every penny of it.
