Sobell House Hospice Charity
For over 30 years the Sobell House Hospice Charity has been providing care and support to those members of the Oxfordshire community affected by terminal illness. At Sobell House we focus on the needs of the individual and those that love them. The service is free of charge to those that need our help regardless of their beliefs, race, age or wealth. Our care teams strive to offer dignity, peace, support and freedom from pain whilst also offering a release from the daily worries associated with terminal illness. The work of the hospice currently runs at a cost of around £3.2 million a year much of which is raised through the work of the Sobell House Hospice Charity. Each year the charity works hard to raise the money required but we can’t do it without you!

Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

On Saturday 4th of August my sons Richard, Andrew, Adam and Mathew along with my nephews Stuart, Frank, George and niece Grace are cycling from Oxford to Bournemouth (100 miles) in memory of my dad George Howlett who passed away 1 year ago on 5th August. They are raising money for Sir Michael Sobell House where my dad spent the last day of his life. We will all be there to greet them in Bournemouth where I am sure they will need a dip in the sea to ease their aching muscles. They are hoping to complete the bike ride in approximately 9 hours. All sponsorship would be very much appreciated.

Good luck to all of you. I know you can do it!!

I am so proud of my children and my Nephews for taking on this challenge. Just as my Dad George/Grampy and my mum Ann/Nanny would be. It will be a long hard trek But I know that you will all give it your best. I would like to add that ALL donations are welcome large or small. It will all add to the total for Sobell House Hospice, in memory of a wonderful man GEORGE HOWLETT, that I am so proud to have called my dad. GOODNIGHT AND GOD BLESS x
