Charities

Bolton Lads and Girls Club
Bolton Lads & Girls Club helps the young people of today become happy, caring and responsible citizens of tomorrow. We aim to give children and young people the opportunity to have regular contact with caring adults who encourage them to be positive and make constructive use of their leisure time, empathise with them and support them through any challenges, changes and difficulties they face.
Urban Outreach (Bolton)
Urban Outreach is a Christian charity, formed in 1990 to work with the homeless people of Bolton. Driven by the desire to "bind up the broken-hearted and set the captives free" we have seen these small beginnings grow into seven projects which are making a difference within the lives and community of Bolton. These projects range from feeding the homeless to working with young people who have been reported missing from home, and rehabilitating male and female offenders. For more information about these projects, please visit www.urbanoutreach.co.uk
Bolton Hospice
Bolton Hospice provides free, expert care for people aged 18 or over in Bolton with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses. The team at Bolton Hospice is dedicated to improving the quality of life of our patients, not just physically, but considering emotional, spiritual and social needs too

Bolton's Get Companies Active Relay Triathon is set to be a huge win for the whole community, helping Bolton's workforce feel fitter, healthier and better while rasing important funds for 3 of the community's most important charities: Bolton Hospice, Bolton Lads & Girls Club, and Urban Outreach.

A relay triathlon, competitors join up in teams of 3 from each business and compete for the best times across the whole event, all while trying to raise the most money for our 3 charities, and getting fit in the proccess.

Studies show that increased physical activity helps reduce the risk of disease, absenteeism from work and chances of mental illness in many cases - all great reasosn to Get Companies Active, bring the community together and get swimming, cycling or running to a better quality of life.

We’re incredibly excited to see the lasting impact the Get Companies Active Triathlon is going to have on everyone involved, and were even more excited to see YOUR team of 3 on the starting line – so go ahead and get involved ready for the 8th October 2017!
